STATEMENT
My framework develops in a field of multimedia constructions, as a result of an unconventional observation. A key component is the exploration of fundamental concepts such as coincidence, anticipation, temporal continuity and human use of life through unorthodox scenarios. Starting off from the development of a dialogue between science and artistic practice, I propose an alloy that, both conceptually and aesthetically, belongs to the realm of the uncanny. Educational maps, anatomy posters, encyclopaedias, astral atlases and architectural treatises constitute sources of renegotiation in conjunction with studies on the semiotics of natural forms, as well as on human behaviour and psychosynthesis. The dipoles logical-illogical, physical-metaphysical, coincidental-determined are catalysts in the composition of a problematic that the receiver can either accept or reject. The classification and projection of a seemingly uncorrelated record, with an occasionally humorous formulation, aims to reinforce a rationale based on the logic of speculation. A determining factor in the formation of my visual language is my specialization in classical technical methods such as printmaking and the need to fuse it with contemporary technological materials/media such as surrealist preforms, as a result of a continuous reformulation of reality.
